Consider it not so surprising that...

Last night, we finally got a decent shot of T.R.A.Y. shooting his latest music video in Cincinnati, OH. Coming off his album The Hit List, He's currently working on his sixth digital album and the video was shot over the last few days.

Last night, T.R.A.Y. and the I.A. Town production, who you might remember shot the "Had Enough" video, filmed on the riverfront. Reportedly, there was a lot of confusion on the set, due to the below freezing temps (yes, winter will be here soon!) and long hours.

According to sources who saw the shoot, the video seemed to have a very "intense storyline."

Oh, we don't doubt that. This is T.R.A.Y we're talking about here - everything he does is intense. As we recall, somewhere towards the end there's a line about "Running rap like Jesse Owens" Yeah, we don't imagine him filming this video in a sparkling meadow to get those kind of lyrics across.

He looks good though. This past year has been very good to him. Let's hope he's able to keep the momentum going.

See what happen was... I actually drew the first picture of MJ dancing in his thriller days, the problem is when I drew the picture I gota an offer n sold the original to the "Masterpiece Art Gallery" at the tri-county mall in Cincinnati, Ohio. The sketch itself at the time of michael's death fetched about $175.00. Since i dont have that one any more but i decided to show you the other two MJ pics i drew. What you think?

Pick up the P.A.C.E.: Why does your name have periods after every letter, whats up with that?
Actually i can tell you haven't heard yet. lol. T.R.A.Y. stands for Travell Rhymes And You, it conveys the relationship between me and my fans.

Pick up the P.A.C.E.:How Did You come up with that?
Well its kinda funny because my nickname is actually Tray. When I started rapping i wanted my name to mean something. Kinda like LLCOOLJ so I took my nickname... I had to do something with it because Tray by itself is too plain.

Pick up the P.A.C.E.: So How do you feel about the results of your latest release?
Yeah you talking bout the Hit list. That ish craaaaay... I releases it for free it got like 10,000 downloads. I turn around and start charging for it with a new link in 20,000 more ppl went to get it for free! Long as people get the music im cool though.

Pick up the P.A.C.E.: Are you surprised about the fan feedback?
Not really. I been buzzing for a while and a lot of people know me and feel my flow. I been in L.A., ATL, and up in Columbus people respect me everywhere.

Pick up the P.A.C.E.: How long have you been making music and what kind of music do you make?
Geesh... Well i been writing music since like 15. I recorded my first solo song in 2007. Since then I been dropping an album or mixtape every year.

Drake, I would say Jay-z but im gonna need a lil bit more cash before I can mess with dude. Maybe Weezy... I dont know forreal I'm kinda over here in my own little zone. A lot of independent dudes want me on they tracks, im open for that.

My playlist is limited. I dont listen to party music, i guess im kinda old school cuz i only listen to the rappers that really say shit. Like Jada, Drake, Wayne, Eminem, Jay-z and Hov.

I guess you can say its cool. I do a lot of art on commission though. People pay me to make peices for their living rooms, and kids bedrooms, or just to decorate the house. I do a little graphic design here and there too.

The 3 year exclusive distribution deal includes publishing for both art and music projects. The artist T.R.A.Y., also known as Travell, will retain control of all master recordings and physical copies of his original work. The majority of the work will be promoted and sold by P.A.C.E. World Media Group through the company's online media sites, blogs, and social pages. This means that fans will soon be able to purchase T.R.A.Y. merchandise directly from P.A.C.E. for lower prices than available elsewhere online.

This deal is important beause it is one of the few cases where an artist remains in complete control of his career and creative direction without corporate interference. This is actually a unique piece for me. Not only because its a "self" portrait but because its like one of only two self portraits i ever drew. Drawing myself has been one of the most complicated things i've ever had to do. I hate it, it was exciting the first time i ever did it by the fact i had never did one. But after drawing that pic years ago i vowed never to do it again. No matter how much effort i put into drawing myself i never really fully feel satisfied with the results. i always end up thinking "This looks like somebody who looks like me, but not me though." Its crazy that i can draw pics of anybody else and get them right on the money. Also... another reason this picture is unique is because i used an old box of colored pencils, and did the pic in color. With a bigger selection of colors i could have been able to make the picture look a little better. You wont catch me drawing myself again for at least 10 years lol! See what happen was... I actually drew the first picture of MJ dancing in his thriller days, the problem is when I drew the picture I gota an offer n sold the original to the "Masterpiece Art Gallery" at the tri-county mall in Cincinnati, Ohio. This picture was brought to you in part by my friend Eric Nathey. A few years ago i moved to California where i met this guy who was Kobe's #1 fan. You know the type that watches every single game of their team's season, and calls off work for big games. lol. I wasnt really into following the NBA at the time, but he had me amped up thinking the Lakers would beat the Celtics that year and it would be a huge parade going on in the city streets. Well it turns out the Celtics won that year and the following year i moved back to Ohio. The next season Kobe and the Lake Show went all the way and Kobe got his 5th ring. I was kinda mad I didnt get to be in L.A. for the parade, so i sat down and drew this pic specifically for Nathey to get it framed and use it as a poster on his wall. I drew this using a regular pencil, and its one of the few "action" poses i've drawn. I hope its a gift he can remember me for, what do you think?

If you listen closely you'll see that there are actually 3 parts to this, and the songs plays out like a movie. Part 1 is the song "Hang On" (how they met). The best feedback i got from this song was when a 46 year old lady said she cried after hearing this song for the first time, then she felt the need to set her kids down and let them listen. A lot of people think im too young to understand what I am really rapping about. individuals and whole organizations have featured this song on their sites.
